I build websites. And the software behind them.
Eighteen years as a software developer, nine of them full stack. Two years using AI agents in my day job. The last three months, sites and tools for small businesses under OwnStack — Claude Code throughout. One of them is a shop that takes real money.
A page instead of a cover letter. A little less telling, a little more showing.

The question you asked
Carrara Collective
From an email thread to a working storefront.
The brief
A Sydney stone furniture maker. Tables and benches cut to order — pick the model, then the size, then the stone, and every combination is a different piece at a different price. So every enquiry turned into a long email thread about dimensions and pricing before anyone could pay. Fine at two orders a month. Not at twenty.
The build
A hosted shop platform would have fixed it for a monthly fee plus a cut of every sale, which is a lot to hand over on a business selling a handful of expensive pieces. So I built the shop instead: a configurator that prices each combination as you choose it, card payments through Stripe, automatic confirmations, and an admin panel the owner runs without me.
The result
It's live and trading — no platform fee, no commission, a few dollars a month to host. Built on my own, around a full-time job, with Claude Code.
I can't quote you a conversion lift on it, because there was no shop before this one to measure against.

What I bring
A considered frontend.An engineer underneath.
More than a pretty page
A price configurator, a stamp-duty quote estimator, a checkout — I've shipped all three. I can build the thing behind the page as well as the page.
Fast from the start
GA4, GTM and conversion events before launch rather than after, and a speed budget that fails my build instead of quietly slipping. OwnStack scores 99 for mobile performance and 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO in the report below.
OwnStack · mobile PageSpeed

A mobile lab test, not field data. Scores can vary between runs. AI, with a critical eye
A written spec before any prompting, reusable instruction files so an agent starts out knowing my conventions, one model writing and another reviewing, and I read every change.
Built to hold up
Since 2017 I've run the cloud platform behind a smart-home product — 70,000 devices, 10,000 accounts, five-nines uptime — including moving the whole live system onto Google Cloud with no downtime.
Close to home
I'm in Logan, so Brisbane is an easy run.
Full Australian working rights, and hybrid suits me well.
Happy to talk it through — or to build something small against a real brief, if you'd rather see it than read about it.
